What you will do:• Perform data collection and data analysis on projects implemented by the Bank, especially intopics related to development economics, digital government and institutions.• Review literature and produce reports as required.• Provide research assistance to support departmental activities or projects.• Develop communications materials (e.g.: PowerPoint presentations, Concept Notes, Blogs)Deliverables and Payments timeline:Deliverable 1: Literature review reportDeliverable 2: Progress report of the research perform/ Data cleaning report.Delliverable 3: Final report from findingsDeliverable 4: Communications materials (Power point presentation, internal presentation, 1 blog postwritten in collaboration with team)The payment schedule will be as following: 25% on August 30, 25% on September 15, 25% on October30, and 25% on November 13, 2021.What you will need:• Education: Active undergraduate student or recent graduate from an undergraduate level program(maximum of 1 year after graduation date) in Economics, Public Policy, or International Development,in an accredited university.• Experience: Minimum one year of research experience.• Languages: Be proficient in English and Spanish.• Soft Skills: Self-management, flexibility, dependability, relationship building, results-driven, withstrong communication skills.• Technical skills: Experience in impact evaluation and research in development contexts. Preferencewill be given to expertise in the following areas: impact evaluation, development economics, health,education, gender and diversity, technology, digital government, reform of the state and fiscalmanagement. Fully proficient computer skills in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint and, particularly inStata. Experience with R, Python, and machine learning techniques, desirable. Minimum one year of research experience. Active undergraduate student or recent graduate from an undergraduate level program(maximum of 1 year after graduation date) in Economics, Public Policy, or International Development,in an accredited university.
