Based at Blackwater Meadow, Ellesmere, on the Llangollen Canal, This is our timeshare week that we are unable to use this year. One of the most relaxing holidays you can ever have is to cruise gently through  the countryside enjoying the peace and tranquillity mooring in a different location each night and visiting various towns and villages along the way!, Accommodation comprises one double bedroom, two single berths in a centre cabin and a bed/settee in the saloon. (Making 3 separate bedrooms),  two toilets, one complete with shower,  Well equipped kitchen, central heating, 240v electricity, television, video, radio/CD player, Blackwater Meadow Marina, close to the centre of the market town of Ellesmere is the ideal location for exploring the Llangollen Canal, the nearby ‘meres’ and the Roman city of Chester., The canal itself is justly famous and really is a superb experience for both novices and experienced boaters alike. There are 20 miles of lock free cruising, tunnels, marvellous scenery and of course, the PONTCYSYLLTE AQUEDUCT, one of the Seven Wonders of the Waterways. This most amazing structure was completed in 1805, over 200 years ago. It carries the Llangollen Canal over the River Dee and is over 1,000 feet (305m) long and over 120 feet (39m) high to provide literally a waterway in the sky., Typical rental value would be about £1250 or more for this peak week! Search on the internet for yourself and see., Basic tuition, life jackets etc provided by friendly and helpful marina staff., Additional costs:, • Utility fee (currently £69) to cover Marina fees, gas, electric and W.C sanitation. - this includes car parking for the week, • Fuel Deposit: Payable against the cost of diesel used. £110*, This will be offset against the actual cost of diesel used and an appropriate refund/extra charge made., • Accidental Damage Waiver: If the guest does not take the accidental damage waiver (£55 non-refundable), a £500* security deposit will need to be paid at the time of collecting the boat., The boat is powered by very low maintenance modern diesel engine, which also provides electricity and hot water, If you have young children who need to be supervised there should be a minimum of 3 adults., Please note, the photos are representative of these boats in general but are not necessarily of the actual boat you will be holidaying on.
