My mother died so I am cleaning out her house and selling contents.  She used it for sterilizing by boiling jars for canning tomatoes, peaches, and making jam.  This pot will give you years of service for boiling mason jars, cooking lobsters or crabs or other sea food -- or boiling ears of corn.
