QR Code Link to This Post Offering up a pair of vintage Honda CB750's The black one is a 72 and it's a project I've been building up from a scratch over the winter The frame is straight and uncut. It was sandblasted and then treated with multiple coats of epoxy black paint. The motor is from a '77 CB750 supersport and is said to be rebuilt as an 836. I got it from Jeff at Instagram's CafesForSale. The carbs are stock and were fully cleaned out and then rebuild with all new K&L kits. They are K carbs which are said to perform better and are more reliable. The fuel tank is straight and very original right down to the badges. It was boiled out to be ready to use without having to cream line it. The seat is a stock pan that's been rebuilt with high quality marine foam that's been cut lower and then wrapped with nice chocolate brown vinyl that's got that classic tuck and roll look. Being that it's got a stock base, it hinges allowing for a helmet strap to hang on the frame and then be locked in place. It's also got a minimalist Lucas chrome taillight bolted to a nice stock chrome fender. In further electrical news, there's a new AGM battery, an updated / modern rectifier, a newer coil pack with nice plug wires, a brand new wiring harness. New progressive shocks in back and a rebuilt front fork including brand new chrome stanchions and new seals. Tires are the stick 19 and 17 and the rubber is very nice. I've got a few 4 into 1 pipes that go with it for you to pick from. Wrap them with fiberglass exhaust tape and you'll be good to go. Stock rear drum brake is good to go and all attached. Front caliper has been disassembled, cleaned and is ready for some coats of epoxy paint and then reassemble. I was going for a resto-mod but have since become very distracted and want to sell with my other CB750 as well -- The burgundy one was my daily driver right up until Covid lockdown. It ran when parked but it sat a while and the carbs have since been gummed up and the battery died. The float bowls covers were then removed and carbs spray with carb cleaner. The wiring harness was also replaced with a brand new stock one. It's got a Kerker header with a long but nice sounding chrome exhaust can on the end. Good rubber with a 16" Harley rear wheel. Progressive shock and springs. Broomstick handlebars. H4 Led Headlamp Stock rear grab bar with in integrated rear parcel rack. This bike has a brand new wiring harness installed right up until a few connections inside the headlight bucket. Some aftermarket switches were proving tedious to connect but the whole idea with these two bikes is to bolt together the black one while using the burgundy one as an example of how things should be. This could be a good father son project or something two young / new aspiring motorcyclist would want to enter the world on vintage with something of a lifeline (of a popular model and a complete example). There may still be surprises but you are well on your way to converting your savings or tax return money into a reality. Both bikes have original blue and yellow plates but the burgundy one is registered as non-op. The black one also has blue and yellow plates but has fees due from decades ago. It will be sold with a bill of sale only but when you buy both you will instantly become "a collector" in the eyes of the DMV. As a collector you are entitled to certain considerations in terms of titling more than one bike so you might be able to knock down the back fees considerably if not entirely. I can't promise anything but I have notes of what others have done successfully. And as far as I have researched you wouldn't need to load up either bike to CHP or DMV for a vin verification. This an extremely rare chance to grab a pair of great examples of vintage bikes that are getting harder and harder to find. Sure you could that person who just buys a new Triumph who wants that cool vintage look without ever really knowing their machine. But wouldn't you rather have that feeling that you built something that makes you turn around one last time before you walk away. Something you understand and know top to bottom because you busted your knuckles and stretched yourself to build a machine with the intention of really transporting you somewhere. I really wish I had the time to finish these but my life has really progressed past them. I expect them to sell fast but if they don't I will try to make them more operational to increase the number of prospective buyers. I might raise the price as a result so don't wait. Best of luck and thanks for reading my long ad.
