Using a time tested, scientifically backed approach, I have yet to work with a student who didn't make tremendous measurable gains in reading over time. This Orton-Gillingham system was created for students with dyslexia and anyone who has problems sounding out words. Leading with patience, empathy, and adaptability, I have fifteen years experience teaching children one on one. I graduated with a BA in English from the College of William and Mary. Tutoring sessions are in person at a local library. $45 per hour session Long Beach area "Tonight T. took on and read the word 'incomprehensible', and we have you to thank," from Mrs. G., whose son could not read three letter words when we started. One of my students with dyslexia grew out of needing an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) after a year of tutoring with this method. References available
